I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my journey to become a Personal Trainer. I am 62 years and in my younger years I was an athlete and in pretty good physical shape. Over the years due to some physical limitations my activity level decreased. I have remained active but not to the level that I felt I should or could be.
Over the past few years, I watched my Mother struggle with the daily activities of everyday life. She recently passed away unexpectantly, and her passing was a wakeup call for me to take a look at my own ageing process. It inspired me to want to become a Personal Trainer to help myself navigate the ageing process.
Once I started the process to become a Personal Trainer and start my own transformation, I realized that I wanted to do more. I went on to get my Certifications in Functional Ageing, Senior Fitness and Corrective Exercise.
My goal is to educate people on the value of exercise as we age to increase the quality of life. I want to help create programs that are designed to meet the needs of each individual that are engaging and fun and that can be done in the comfort of your home.
